Courier Took Out Contents of the Package and Replaced with Something Else!!

I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention as in the beauty bloggers fraternity, we often send things to each other via couriers! But please be careful about the courier you chose, and keep tracking! This is what happened with me!

I had ordered gift vouchers worth Rs 5k from Amex Gifts. They dispatched it by Aramex courier. I have ordered from them a couple of times earlier, and it was quite hassle free. But this time I did not receive it for a while. On tracking they showed 'Delivery failure due to incorrect address'. This is ridiculous since I receive everything at my office address including one from Aramex itself the last week. After innumerable calls I was able to get in touch with the delivery boy and finally he delivered my package in my office mail room at 6:30 in the evening yesterday.

When I finally went to collect the package, to my shock it had been tampered with. It had actually been opened from one side. Inside there were no vouchers, instead they put a rakhi roli, almost laughing aloud at me. They actually took out my vouchers worth 5k!!

I have been trying to contact Aramex, they have been of little help. In fact because of the long weekend, people are not even available. On calling up the delivery boy, he obviously refused that any such thing could happen. The issue is currently under investigation.

Hoping I will not lose my money! Please don't ship through Aramex!

It has happened to me also quiet a few times with blue dart ....
I have ordered the vouchers and the order status over the courier service shows as delivered while i did not receive anything. I have called to their atleast 10 offices and the person at every office says that my address do not come in their area and gives me the no of other area. these courier services really suck.

OMG are you serious...
They put a rakhi roli inside ???
WHat the hell..but given tht amex has good customer service i think it should get fine...but this is so horrible!

It's so sad that things like this happen!!
My only hope is Amex Gift Cards now.. They said they would immediately cancel those vouchers. Hopefully they were able to do that..

This had happened to one of my close friends who was shipping something from an online makeup store! She was pretty shaken up!And you're right, courier companies rarely be of any help even though they can set such issues straight! Thanx for sharing!!

Hawww! It is episodes like these that scare me from shopping online.. I wld be hopping mad if it were to happen to me! I hope they apologize to you and set things right for you.

OMG...the same thing happened to me...n d same courier service...I'd purchased a bottle of perfume online...n it took a lot of time to be delivered n and after numerous calls...i got the number of the delivery boy...n ditto...he sez he can come only later in the evening..n it was around 7 in d eve...n he calls up...n tells me he's below my bldg...n i asked him to juz tell d security n come in...buh he asked us to come down cuz he was already late n it seemed fair...so i did...he was on a bike with somebody else...n i signed the receipt thing...he hurriedly left d package with me n split on d bike...n when i opened the package at my place...to my shock...all there was, was the perfume cover...no bottle...i did feel the package to be light when i took it in my hands...buh who'd hv thought????...n i did not even get time to say anything cuz he split in nano-seconds on d bike after handing over the parcel.I HATEEEE THESE PPL, MAKES ME INFURIOUS,THESE KINDA PPL.
I contacted their office for lodging complaints...but no avail...they are ganged up i believe...n i didn't have that sorta time on me either...
If anybody organises something against these ppl...be sure to get my support...juz post it here like dis msg...n i would leave my id then...
I'm mostly a silent reader/lurker in the beauty blogosphere...

I had ordered from URBAN TOUCH and they too ship via Aramex..my first order i got after 15 days and however whenever i tracked the courier the Aramex status showed "Ordered not delivered due to person not available " when he has not even appeared at my door. The second time around he called up twice and he didn't turn while i waited since it was COD.
This were the very first time i had ordered anything off the internet.I have decided not to order again.I wonder how agonizing it would be for those ppl who are not just stuck with bad courier service but also the shopping site in case their customer service is not good.

Holy-quack-a-moli what the hell are these guys upto? stealing from courier package & the nerve to replace it with some other stuff.Plz take this up at the senior most level, if required pursue legal action. This is totally un-acceptable.

ok same incident happened to me couple of days back.. I ordered from ebay and they sent the item via aramex.. when I got the stuff I was totally shocked the cover was torn both sides but good thing was the item was safe in there!! I know.. it must have been a shock.. girl I hope u get justice on this matter.. take care..

it looks like unfortunately this kind of an issue is not that uncommon..the question is what do we do about it???

in my case, i m yet to hear from Aramex. In the meantime, the vouchers have been reshipped..
